Born and raised in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Vanya’s talent was discovered when she was a child. At the age of 12 she took up arts classes given by the artist and teacher Tamara Milenkova, who later on encouraged her to apply for the best-ranked specialized secondary school in the country - the High School of Fine Arts in Plovdiv. So, for the next 5 years, in the class of famous painter Angel Kitipov,Vanya got to learn every single aspect of fine arts- sculpture, perspective, the art of painting and specialized in mural painting in the Studio of one of the most renowned restorers in Europe, especially in Italy, Atanas Kemeshev.

In 2003 Vanya finished her education in Bulgaria, a country where the word “artist” sounds rather ironic to many people, a country where the dreams of accomplishment seem to be almost dead. Then, one day, while figuring in her mind some still life paintings of the “juicy” colors of a fruit, Vanya received a job offer from an Italian painter. He turned out to be the renowned Athos Faccincani- one of the most distinguished artists, his paintings being the most prized possessions in almost every household in Italy.
